Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer to bolster product cybersecurity across the lifecycle. The role embeds with design teams to mitigate vulnerabilities and strengthen secure development practices within SSDLC.

Candidates should have STEM degrees, 5+ years of experience, and U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility. Active Secret clearance is preferred; relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system data flows to identify attack vectors and assess risks to products.
• Develop threat models/data flow diagrams to isolate data in motion and at rest.
• Ensure security measures are implemented during product development.
• Develop and deploy security tools to identify product security flaws.
• Mentor junior product security engineers and support SSDLC adoption.
• Review code for weaknesses in security implementations.
• Conduct fuzzing and penetration tests to evaluate attack surface.
