Job summary
Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids seeks a Systems Engineer for the Mission Systems Secure Subsystems Department to design and develop military communications products and interface with multi-discipline teams.
You will perform analyses from concept to deployment, translate requirements into hardware/software specs, and lead development with mentorship. A SECRET clearance and US citizenship are required.
On-site role with relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Experience with the systems development process from requirements capture to production.
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, CAMEO or similar; experience with Rust and Python.
- Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Perform analyses, architecture and design at all levels of the total system including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Perform requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specs.
- Provide analyses for decomposition of specifications into sub-systems and parts, and develop verification criteria and plans.
- Lead a Systems Engineering Development Effort with mentorship to junior engineers.
