Job summary

Magna5 is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our on-site team in Gilbert, AZ. You will support our managed services customers as part of the Tier 3 engineering group, solving complex networking issues and guiding junior staff.

Responsibilities include incident response, documentation, and network design, with on-call rotation and ongoing certification pursuit. 6+ years of networking experience and IT degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience administering/supporting networking technologies.
• Possession of an associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant work experience
• Ability to work in a team environment and support multiple customer issues at a time while prioritizing workload based on severity
• Strong curiosity and enjoyment of learning new technology
• A strong work ethic and a desire to set an example for others
• MSP or professional service experience is a bonus
• Experience designing and implementing a network topology with switches, routers, NAT/PAT, VPN, and EIGRP/OSPF/BGP/MPLS/VPLS
• Understanding Radius/LDAP/802.1x, Spanning-Tree, and Port-Channels
• Experience with High Availability concepts: HSRP/VRRP, A/A, and A/P
• Understanding SD-WAN, QoS, Traffic Shaping
• Ability to design detailed network drawings

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer support requests via incident tickets, phone, and email.
• Collaborate with team to solve problems and maintain high-quality customer service.
• Document resolutions and build knowledge base articles.
• Proactively address incidents to reduce recurring issues and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Engage in ongoing certification training and professional development.
• Participate in internal projects and designs.
• Willingness to certify and maintain vendor partnership levels.
• Participate in on-call rotation and track activity and communication.
