Tier 3 Senior Network Engineer, End User Support
Fully Remote • Remote Worker

**Remote position. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

About the Role

This is a senior-level Network Engineer role focused on leading complex client implementations and resolving advanced network issues that require deep technical judgment. You’ll split your time between planned project delivery and escalations, working across enterprise environments with a high degree of technical ownership, careful documentation, and clear communication with both clients and internal teams.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead technical delivery for enterprise network projects, including SD-WAN deployments, firewall migrations, switching upgrades, wireless implementations, and network redesigns
  • Troubleshoot advanced network issues across client environments, using a broad view of the full network stack to identify root causes and restore stability
  • Partner with project managers on scope, timelines, and execution planning while serving as the technical lead on implementation work
  • Collaborate with other technicians on escalated support requests and contribute expertise when issues extend beyond initial triage
  • Document resolutions, maintain accurate technical records, and create knowledge base articles that support repeatable service delivery
  • Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders
  • Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers by providing guidance on troubleshooting, technical decisions, and best practices
  • Track time, project activity, ticket updates, and client work consistently through ConnectWise
  • Participate in ongoing certification training to expand technical capability across relevant network platforms
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong hands-on experience leading enterprise network projects from design through implementation
  • Deep technical knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless infrastructure, and high availability design
  • Ability to diagnose complex issues by evaluating client environments holistically rather than isolating a single component
  • Clear written communication for documentation, diagrams, knowledge articles, and client-facing updates
  • Ability to explain technical issues in a straightforward way to stakeholders with varying levels of technical familiarity
  • Comfort working across multiple client environments, balancing planned work with urgent escalations
  • Working knowledge of QoS for voice and video traffic, 802.1x, authentication infrastructure, and multi-vendor enterprise networking
Other Requirements
  • 3+ years of network engineering experience, including ownership of enterprise implementations rather than support-only execution
  • MSP, consulting, or other multi-client environment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with platforms such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, and comparable enterprise networking technologies
  • Ability to read and create network documentation and diagrams that support team use and long-term maintainability
  • Certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE7, or Palo Alto PCNSE are valued; equivalent hands-on experience is also welcome
  • This role supports multiple clients with varying technologies, priorities, and timelines, and requires comfort shifting between project work and complex troubleshooting as needed
  • 100% fully remote
  • Extensive paid time off including paid holidays and float holidays
  • Highly competitive and flexible medical, dental, and vision benefits plans to suit your needs
  • 401(k) with generous employer match
  • Tailored Life and Disability insurance plans
  • Full reimbursement for approved professional certification and career enriching opportunities
  • Monthly mobile phone plan and internet service stipend
