Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a hands-on Technical Service & Warranty Manager for a privately held OEM manufacturer of high-performance heavy equipment and work tools. The role is onsite in Duluth, Minnesota, with limited travel after initial field-training immersion.

You will be the primary technical authority for customer support, warranty processing, field service coordination, and hydraulic diagnostic training. Strong diagnostic and training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of technical diagnostic experience with mobile heavy equipment and hydraulic machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools.
• Associate degree in Fluid Power or related discipline; hydraulic certification or equivalent experience considered.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and training skills for technicians, dealers, and customers.
• Experience coordinating field service work and processing warranty claims.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
• On-site work with limited travel after initial field-training immersion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical support resource for internal field technicians, global dealers, and end-user customers troubleshooting complex hydraulic and mechanical equipment issues.
• Lead technical diagnosis and root-cause analysis using schematics, multimeters, pressure gauges, flow meters, and related tools.
• Manage warranty claim processing, service records, and the central service database; coordinate master field service scheduling.
• Partner with engineering, product support, and sales to communicate performance data and support client specifications.
• Develop repair procedures, service documentation, and training materials for maintenance and repair.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training for technicians, dealers, and customers.
• Complete a 2–3 month field-training immersion with experienced technicians.
• Provide support at industry trade shows and occasional international travel as needed.
