Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Rockford, IL is seeking a hands‑on Technical Site Lead to be the primary onsite technical resource supporting Woodward Inc. fastening and assembly systems.

You will troubleshoot, calibrate, optimize strategies, manage calibrations, and drive continuous improvement to maximize uptime and system reliability on the production floor. This is a technical leadership role with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment or production systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on complex systems.
• Comfort working with technical systems, configurations, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with data systems and production databases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, communication, programming, and process-related issues.
• Lead root cause investigations for downtime and quality concerns.
• Provide rapid technical support to minimize production interruptions and improve reliability.
• Develop corrective actions to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with customer teams to improve manufacturing performance and document findings.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, inspections, and validations to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and calibration records.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex issues.
