Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to lead the development of machines and plant systems supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives. You will work on-site with the Operations team to troubleshoot and improve plant equipment, implementing advanced technologies.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical expertise, Siemens PLC proficiency, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and standardize new processes.

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred; 5+ years PLC troubleshooting may be considered.
Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

On site resource to solve manufacturing controls process problems.
Provide technical assistance on troubleshooting equipment electrically and mechanically.
Identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, waste reduction, safety/ergonomics, etc.
Install, set-up, and program electrical devices including vision systems, robotics, and IOT/Industry 4.0 technology.
Proficient with Siemens PLC programming and related logic (Function Block, Ladder, Structured Text).
