Job summary

Atlas Copco seeks a hands-on Technical Site Lead to be the primary technical resource at the Woodward Inc. site in Rockford, IL, delivering advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of fastening and assembly systems.

You will guide root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and ensure service commitments while collaborating with customer teams to maximize uptime and quality. This role is on-site with limited management responsibility and a strong emphasis on customer

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in industrial equipment or production systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and calibrations.
• Comfort with technical systems, configurations, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with data systems and production databases.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and process issues.
• Lead root cause investigations for downtime, quality concerns, and deviations.
• Provide rapid technical support to minimize interruptions and improve reliability.
• Develop corrective actions to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
• Review and optimize tightening programs and production settings.
• Support new equipment installations and software upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to improve performance.
• Generate technical reports and recommendations from data.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, inspections, and validations.
• Maintain technical and calibration documentation.
