Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Computer Lab Assistant to help customers with technical questions and provide support in classrooms. This role requires basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office, and customer service experience.

The perfect candidate should also have a GPA of 2.7 or higher, be eligible for Work Study, and preferably have experience in troubleshooting. This position is part-time and takes place onsite.

Qualifications

• Promptness and reliability to follow scheduled hours.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software and standard office technologies.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
• Work Study eligibility for the current semester.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous computer troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Completion of INFT 110, BUSI 201, or similar technology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with technical and informational questions.
• Provide classroom support to professors and students.
• Troubleshoot basic software and hardware issues.
• Log/document work as required.
