Job summary

Intuit is seeking motivated individuals to join our TurboTax Local Service Expert team in a TurboTax location across the United States. You will provide on-site tax preparation and advisory services, serving both in-person and online clients, and collaborate with a broader team of specialists to deliver seamless, end-to-end support.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA, or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments). Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Be a proactive community ambassador by actively growing a local client base through outreach, grass-roots marketing, referrals, and partnerships, serving as the local face of TurboTax.
• Champion the full Intuit ecosystem by understanding clients’ complete financial picture and connecting them with solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma.
• Build relationships with clients and communities, turning transactions into long-term engagements.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience, interacting in-person and via Intuit’s video tools, addressing inquiries and tax challenges.
