Job summary

Intuit is hiring a TurboTax Local Service Expert to provide hands-on tax preparation and expert advice at a TurboTax location. You’ll serve in-person and virtual clients, helping with personal and business taxes while linking customers to the broader Intuit ecosystem.

As a trusted guide, you’ll build relationships, drive local growth, and deliver a best-in-class experience, including community outreach and marketing-driven client engagement.

Qualifications

• EA, CPA, or practicing attorney with strong tax prep experience and knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season using professional tax preparation software; familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, Mon–Fri, for at least 20 hours/week.
• Willing to complete all required training and development; uniforms; advertising use of name/photo.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments).
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Act as a community ambassador to grow local client base through outreach, events, referrals, and partnerships; be the local face of TurboTax.
• Connect clients with the Intuit ecosystem such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma for comprehensive support.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience with professionalism and empathy; assist in-person and via Intuit video tools.
• Be showcased as a TurboTax - Local Service Expert in local and national marketing efforts.
