Job summary

ITCO Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our Santa Clara team on a 12-month contract with possible extension. The role focuses on maintaining servers, storage, networks, and virtualization platforms, with onsite work five days a week.

You will install and manage Linux and Windows servers, perform hardware troubleshooting, and automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python while documenting processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on System Administration in a high-tech environment.
• Strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of server hardware and remote management tools (IPMI, iLO, iDRAC).
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ITIL, security best practices, and relevant certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Perform server hardware troubleshooting and remote management using IPMI, iLO, iDRAC, or similar tools.
• Monitor system performance, apply security patches, and support system upgrades and migrations.
• Use scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate administrative tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
