Job summary

Stryker is seeking an OR-support specialist in Reno, NV to assist during surgical procedures and manage pre/postoperative equipment. The role requires coordinating with surgeons and OR staff, maintaining equipment knowledge, and reporting metrics monthly.

Candidates should be able to cover shifts at multiple accounts, travel as needed, and adhere to HIPAA and all safety protocols. Applicants should have OR experience and strong communication skills, plus basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Operating Room experience and anatomy knowledge preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Interpersonal and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment.
• Anticipates related device needs of the OR staff and surgeon during surgical procedures.
• Troubleshoots and maintains Stryker equipment and related devices.
• Works with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical and related staff.
• Maintains knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education training programs.
• Provide physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current products.
• Accurately records and reports data metrics related to all functions on a monthly basis.
• Maintain up-to-date account information to ensure high levels of service including vendor credentialing.
• Accurately records and reports all surgical procedure information.
• Adheres to Stryker and medical facility policies, standards and procedures.
• Analyze and resolve routine and non-routine product issues using independent judgment.
• Maintain professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude expected by Stryker and the facility.
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality policies.
• Provide support/coverage on all shifts, other accounts, and occasional travel; rotating shifts may occur.
