Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Engineer to be the main interface between supplier networks and internal teams on critical DoD programs. This onsite role centers on ensuring quality, applying APQP/PPAP, and driving continuous supplier improvements.

The position requires collaboration with the program team in the Tucson area, travel up to 25%, and the ability to flow down requirements while managing risk and cost/schedule performance through Six Sigma, SPC, and robust QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in quality engineering or related field.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Flow down product requirements to internal teams and sub-tier suppliers.
• Interpret program requirements to ensure supplier compliance.
• Focus on quality, cost, and schedule; engage with program teams.
• Drive supplier quality improvements using RCA, Six Sigma, and Lean.
• Apply APQP processes for supplier performance and improvements.
• Travel up to 25% to support supplier assessments and audits.
• Represent quality in reviews of supplier design changes and tests.
