Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to serve as the primary interface between supplier base and internal stakeholders on critical DoD programs in the Naval Air Missile SSBU. This onsite role is located in Tucson, AZ.

You will drive quality through supplier requirements, APQP, and continuous improvement initiatives, with travel up to 25%. A DoD clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and eight years’ experience in quality engineering or related field.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance provisions.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flow down of requirements to suppliers via PO requirements, Quality Notes, and supplier statements of work.
• Interpret program requirements to ensure supplier understanding and compliance.
• Engage on strategic and tactical levels focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance.
• Drive continuous product/process improvements of our supplier base using RCA, Six Sigma, and Lean.
• Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and improvements.
• Travel up to 25% for supplier assessments and audits.
• Represent quality during reviews of supplier designs, processes, tests and changes.
• Interface with the Tucson program team onsite; some travel required.
