Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a senior structural/inspection professional in California to oversee roadway and bridge structures for Caltrans. You will report to the Resident Engineer and ensure conformance to Caltrans standards while driving safety and quality on site.

You will read plans, review submittals, coordinate tests, and manage field teams. The role requires on-site work with day and night shifts and collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• EIT is required.
• Minimum 5 years of roadway/highway inspection experience including bridges, retaining walls, sound walls and drainage.
• Minimum 2 years as lead worker in structure construction and inspection.
• Minimum 2 years of CALTRANS roadway/bridge construction project experience.
• Minimum 3 years of CALTRANS practices and procedures & Construction Manuals experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the structures portion of roadway projects and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and contract documents.
• Review submittals and change orders related to structures and maintain filing.
• Coordinate quality testing and liaise with clients/owners and regulatory agencies.
• Work with Resident Engineer or Structure Representative and provide technical expertise.
