Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a senior field engineer to lead multi‑jurisdictional bridge and roadway improvement projects onsite with clients. You will work alongside a team of project managers, engineers, and strategists to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery across all phases of construction.

Qualifications

• California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, Engineer In Training (EIT) required.
• Eight (8) years of roadway/highway construction inspection and field engineering experience on major public works projects.
• One Caltrans-administered or federally funded highway project.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, or bridge construction inspection.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex, multi-jurisdictional bridge and roadway improvement projects.
• Support the Resident Engineer with field oversight, inspection, quality assurance, and contract administration.
• Perform and oversee daily inspections and quality assurance activities for bridge and roadway construction.
• Verify contractor work for conformance with approved plans, specifications, and provisions.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, public agencies, and CM Consultants to resolve field issues and minimize delays.
• Review contractor submittals, RFI responses, progress schedules, and other project documentation.
• Oversee and document construction materials testing and sampling to ensure project requirements.
• Support contract administration, including change orders, pay estimates, and notices.
