Job summary

Accenture Construct in California seeks a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee transit projects, ensuring safety, scope alignment, and regulatory compliance. You will manage contract records, supervise teams, and coordinate with clients and contractors to maintain budget and schedule.

The role requires a CA-registered PE, extensive leadership experience, and a strong background in construction management of large programs. Onsite work across multiple California locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or another related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in California.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Construction Management on transit projects of at least $30 million.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major, construction contracts of similar size and scope.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of employees and the traveling public by observing operations, making recommendations, and taking corrective action.
• Review contractor operations for CAL OSHA compliance.
• Maintain complete contract records related to progress, expenditures, budgets, and work orders per regulations.
• Direct staff to ensure accurate, timely documentation of plans, quality, and activity.
• Perform field inspections to verify conformance with plans, specs, and agreements.
• Prepare reports and incorporate daily inspection data from Field Inspectors.
• Maintain project records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Document field quantities for payment purposes.
• Record as-built conditions of constructed facilities.
• Monitor schedule and budget; report to leadership.
• Assist in managing project to maintain quality, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare change orders for alterations and deletions; ensure proper completion.
• Develop solutions for field conditions necessitating changes, including redesign work.
