Job summary

AndHealth is seeking Specialty Patient Engagement Specialists to join our team at an Ohio health center partner site. This onsite role supports prescription processing, benefits verification, prior authorizations, and patient outreach to improve access to specialty medications.

The position emphasizes HIPAA-compliant patient interactions, collaboration with providers, and the use of digital health tools including the AndHealth app.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Comfortable with technology and adapting to new systems.
• Organized and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions accurately within the pharmacy system.
• Verify benefits and assist enrollments in copay cards or patient assistance programs.
• Collaborate with providers on formulary restrictions and prior authorizations.
• Communicate with patients about medication utilization and upcoming fills.
• Document patient interactions in the specialty pharmacy software and route clinical needs to a pharmacist.
• Manage patient referrals and guide them through onsite digital health questionnaires and the AndHealth app.
• Generate adherence reports and follow HIPAA guidelines in all interactions.
• Provide on-site or remote support as business needs evolve.
