Job summary

AndHealth LLC is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician for an on-site position at our Health Center partner site in Ohio. Starting pay is $24/hr and the role emphasizes accurate prescription processing, benefits verification, and patient support.

The ideal candidate holds an OH Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB/ExCPT preferred) with 3+ years of pharmacy experience, bilingual English/Spanish a plus, and strong attention to detail. BLS and multi-state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s not required but preferred.
OH Pharmacy Technician license required in OH.
PTCB or ExCPT certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
BLS certification either obtained or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

Process prescriptions accurately in the pharmacy system and assist with inventory management.
Verify benefits and help enroll patients in copay cards or assistance programs to reduce costs.
Collaborate with providers on formulary restrictions and manage prior authorizations.
Communicate with patients about medication use, side effects, and upcoming fills or deliveries.
Document all patient interactions in the specialty pharmacy software and escalate clinical needs to a pharmacist.
Manage patient referrals and guide them through onsite digital health questionnaires and the AndHealth app.
Generate adherence reports and maintain HIPAA compliance during all interactions.
Provide on-site or remote support as needed to ensure operations run smoothly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
