Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist to deliver outstanding customer service and manage inventory at large customer locations in Columbus, MS. The role supports procurement, order placement, and the management of MSC ControlPoint Solutions such as Vending, VMI, and Crib systems.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize solutions and drive value. You will maintain 6S standards, document activities in Salesforce, and help expand product

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Knowledge of technical customer solutions and strong communication skills.
• Proven track record of success and good performance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site customer service and inventory management at large locations.
• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions including VMI, vending, and storeroom programs.
• Perform ordering, product put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MSC solutions and services.
• Log activities and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Collaborate with account teams to enhance customer satisfaction and identify opportunities.
• Ensure safety and PPE protocols are followed and assist with special projects as needed.
