Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service and manage inventory at large customer locations.

You will support procurement, place orders, and oversee MSC ControlPoint Solutions including VMI, vending, and Crib systems. The role requires a high school diploma, at least two years in inventory or customer service, strong communication, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, travel up to 10%, and usage of SFDC for activity logging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Knowledge of technical customer solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of MSC solutions, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI, vending, and storeroom programs.
• Perform ordering, product put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Promote MSC customer loyalty through solution support and CARE program.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce (SFDC).
• Ensure appropriate stock levels (min/max) are maintained.
