Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is hiring Renewable Energy Technicians Ranging from Tech 2 to Tech 3 for maintenance on wind, PV, and BESS assets. Roles require 1–2 years for Tech 2 and 2+ years for Tech 3, with training in Albert Lea, MN, and onsite work in Desert Center, CA.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and 24/7 on-call support. Candidates must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards, hold a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate safety leadership

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in renewable energy or similar discipline.
• 2+ years renewable energy experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of schematics, multi-meter use, and electrical/mechanical components.
• Deep competency in generation theory; advanced knowledge of electrical safety, arc flash standards, and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance independently and conducts routine troubleshooting, repairs, and minor upgrades.
• Participate in the 24-hour On Call rotation.
• Lead teams on routine tasks for Tech 3 (Senior).
• Adhere to safety protocols including LOTO and lead site safety assessments.
• Complete daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation.
• Attend all required safety and technical training.
• Support site budget control by seeking efficiencies.
• Maintain asset integrity and system safety during operations.
