Job summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students in an onsite school near Columbus, GA. The contract role runs from now through May 21, 2027, with potential for part-time arrangements and additional planning days.

You will interpret between English and American Sign Language, collaborate with educators, and document sessions daily to ensure accurate records for the district.

Qualifications

• Active GA Educator Certification as Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) with EIPA 3.5+ or higher.
• Paraprofessionals with close EIPA scores may be considered for a tech role with transition to SLI.
• Attention to detail and comfort with daily documentation.
• Adaptable, collaborative team players fostering accessibility for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language and vice versa for students, staff, and families.
• Collaborate with educators and administrators to support each student’s needs.
• Adapt to various age groups and educational contexts; placement aligned to preferences during the interview process.
• Complete daily service logs documenting interpreted sessions as required by the district.
