Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Houston, TX is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist Level 1 to deliver outstanding customer service and manage on-site inventory for a large customer location.

You will support procurement, order placement, and MSC ControlPoint Solutions such as Vending and VMI, while collaborating with internal teams to optimize service and drive retention. This role requires two years of related experience and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in telephone or outside sales, storeroom/inventory, or customer service.
• Knowledge of technical customer solutions.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of MSC solutions, products, and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI and vending.
• Perform ordering, put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce.
• Maintain stock levels (min/max) and restock products.
• Collaborate with account teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Lead repair and maintenance of vending equipment.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
