Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. seeks an On-Site Service Specialist Level 1 to deliver exceptional customer service and manage inventory at large customer locations.

You will support procurement, order placement, and MSC ControlPoint Solutions including VMI and vending, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive value. The role requires a High School diploma and at least two years in related fields, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of MSC solutions, products, and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI, vending, and storeroom programs.
• Perform ordering, product put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Promote MSC customer loyalty through solution support and CARE program execution.
• Maintain 6S standards across all solution equipment and areas.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce (SFDC).
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure solution retention and satisfaction.
