Job summary

MSC Industrial Direct Co.,Inc. is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service and manage inventory at large customer locations in Texas.

You will support procurement, order placement and MSC ControlPoint solutions, including VMI and vending, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Knowledge of technical customer solutions.
• Proven track record of success and strong performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of MSC solutions, products, and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint solutions including VMI, vending, and storeroom programs.
• Perform ordering and inventory optimization.
• Maintain 6S standards across all solution equipment and areas.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce.
• Ensure appropriate stock levels (min/max).
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure solution retention and satisfaction.
