Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist Level 1 to deliver top-tier customer service and manage inventory at large customer locations in Canton, MI.

You will support procurement, order placement, and MSC ControlPoint solutions including VMI, vending, and crib systems, driving value through onsite engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in telephone/outside sales or inventory

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in telephone/outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Strong customer service and sales track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI and vending.
• Process ordering, product put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Support CARE program to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.
• Maintain 6S standards across all solution equipment.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce (SFDC).
• Collaborate with account teams to identify growth opportunities and projects.
