Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a satellite mission engineering team in a 24/7 operations environment in Alexandria, VA. The role requires experience with operational positions, strong C2 knowledge, and the ability to work a mix of day and shift schedules.

You will join a certified team of subject matter experts and contribute to testing, readiness, training, and ground software deliveries while traveling as needed. Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience or equivalent.
Active training and certification in operational position.
Active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

Create/implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems.
Apply command and control tasks and activities.
Maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures and select/apply correct procedures.
Lead and support all missions including initialization of new missions.
Travel periodically as required to interact with sites and factories.
