Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer to support mission-critical satellite ground system operations in Las Cruces, NM. You will work within the SI&T organization to ensure system availability and mission success, collaborating with government customers and contractor teams.

You will manage software baselines, monitor system health, and produce performance reports for leadership while coordinating with cross-functional engineering groups to plan and execute operational

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems engineering, operations, or maintenance for complex software/hardware.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and supporting operational recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage baseline software and system installations into operational environments.
• Monitor, report on system availability, health, and performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot issues, investigate anomalies, and support system recovery to maintain mission readiness.
• Generate reports for program leadership and customers.
• Represent the program in technical reviews and customer briefings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional engineering to plan operational activities.
• Monitor workloads and ensure mission priorities are met.
• Provide backup support during customer meetings and briefings.
• Support 24/7 operational activities, including off-hours call-ins.
