Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer II for a satellite mission engineering team in Alexandria, VA. The selected candidate will contribute to Operations Planning and Command and Control in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a Bachelor’s in STEM plus 2 years of related experience. Onsite work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) required.
Active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly clearance required before start date.
U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

Create and/or implement daily operations plans using complex software/hardware.
Apply formal procedures and select correct steps for scenarios.
Gain/apply knowledge of hardware subsystems and software tools.
Document discrepancies and implement workarounds for anomalies.
Assist testing, readiness, training, and deployment of ground software.
Cross-train and assist with training of other personnel.
Lead interactions and support missions, including new mission initiations.
