Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – RF SATCOM to support a large RF satellite communications system in a real‑time environment at the San Miguel site in California. The role requires an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and hands-on maintenance, fault analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration with factories and teams.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 5+ years in SATCOM, high‑speed networks, and real‑time software, plus adherence to safety and security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years engineering experience.
• Experience with SATCOM/Receive Facility antennas and associated hardware.
• Experience with high-speed networks, IT systems and real‑time software supporting comms systems.
• Ability to adhere to safety and security policies.
• Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance required before start.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M support to a complex hardware‑software RF SATCOM system in real‑time.
• Perform fault isolation, data collection, and corrective actions to restore system capabilities.
• Maintain preventive/corrective maintenance across external interfaces and networks.
• Collaborate with factories on development, installation, and test configurations.
• Develop training plans and assist with training of personnel.
