Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Satellite Mission Engineering Team in Alexandria, VA. You will develop and sustain complex ground software and hardware operation plans, support missions, and lead cross‑site collaboration.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 5+ years of related engineering experience, TS/SCI CI poly clearance, US citizenship, and proficiency with Windows/UNIX, Python/Perl/VBA. Availability for varied shifts and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI CI poly security clearance and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement operation plans for complex systems.
• Apply command and control tasks across hardware/software.
• Maintain procedures repository and select correct procedures based on scenario.
• Support testing, readiness, and implementation of new ground software deliveries.
• Travel to interact with personnel from various sites/factories; work in a 3–7 person team.
