Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Materials Manager for the Jacksonville, FL site. The role leads Material Planning, Production Control, and Warehouse/Logistics to ensure material readiness for production and strong supplier collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a university degree (advanced degree preferred) with 8+ years of experience in MRP, SAP, and data-driven decision making; CPIM/ACSM is a plus, and a Secret clearance is required in this DoD-facing role.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or Advanced Degree in a related field with several years of experience.
• Experience with MRP functionality and major ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills; lean manufacturing tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Materials Planning and Production Control to meet production and customer requirements.
• Drive daily MRP, material planning, and production control activities to maintain material stability.
• Strengthen planning discipline via SAP/ERP/MRP data, planning parameters, material master data, and inventory transactions.
• Establish and monitor Materials KPIs to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop inventory strategies to optimize availability, turns, and working capital.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and cross-functional teams to improve material flow and on-time delivery.
