Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Specialist, Materials Planning, SIOP in Tucson, AZ. The onsite role requires coordinating Bills of Materials, material management, and MRP/ERP system usage to align material position with production schedules.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 5 years of relevant work, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, or similar production environments.
• Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop Bills of Materials for assemblies in multiple production factories.
• Advanced knowledge in age-dated material management.
• Support analysis of material consumption and align communication with the factory team to drive action plans.
• Develop and implement new processes or standards affecting functional results.
• Coordinate interdependent activities with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Program personnel, Quality and Engineering.
• Participate in CORE projects to improve processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Influence policies, practices, and procedures, and factory/program decision making.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve supply problems.
