Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to deliver strategic HR support for multiple cement plant locations across the US and Canada. You will act as trusted advisor to site leadership, managing employee and labor relations, recruitment, performance management, policy compliance, and people analytics.

The role requires on-site presence at assigned locations, with mentorship of HR partners, and collaboration with Safety, Learning & Development, and Operations to align HR

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of employment and labor law; union environments preferred.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
• Proven experience in HR operations, labor relations, and talent management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant and operations leaders to deliver strategic HR programs.
• Provide SME guidance on leadership, org structure, and human capital processes.
• Mentor HR Partners at assigned locations and ensure quality HR delivery.
• Oversee employee and labor relations issues, including terminations and discipline.
• Support union contract negotiations/interpretations with guidance from leadership.
• Analyze workforce metrics and advise leadership on action plans.
