Job summary

Ash Grove Cement is seeking an on-site Senior HR Business Partner based at the Durkee, OR plant to partner with plant leadership on strategic HR programs. This role serves multiple US and Canada sites and acts as the primary HR contact for site leadership.)

You will mentor HR Business Partners, manage union-related aspects, lead talent reviews, succession planning, and develop workforce strategies across plants, while ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year/Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
• Onsite work at assigned plant locations with understanding of union environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant and operations leaders to deliver strategic HR programs across the employment lifecycle.
• Provide expertise in leadership, organizational effectiveness, org structure, and human capital processes.
• Mentor HR Business Partners at assigned plant locations.
• Oversee employee and labor relations, including terminations, performance management, complaints, and disciplinary actions.
• Support union contract negotiations and interpretations, including grievances and arbitration.
