Job summary

Arkansas Public Safety Solutions (APSS) is seeking an APSS Install Technician to install, service, and support security and life-safety systems for government, enterprise, and education customers. This role requires extensive travel and on-site customer interaction.

The technician will install cameras, access control hardware, and backhaul equipment, perform programming and commissioning, and train customers on turnover. Travel and on-call duties are a regular part of this position.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Relevant technical experience and certifications preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Install, service, and troubleshoot Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Management (ACM), BDA/DAS, and related APSS solutions.
Pull, terminate, label, and test cabling; mount devices; ensure equipment installed per APSS plans.
Complete system programming, provisioning, analytics configuration, and commissioning prior to site turnover.
Install cameras, servers, access control hardware, backhaul equipment, and related infrastructure.
Provide customer training and support successful system turnover.
Respond to service calls and reprioritize work as required.
Maintain project documentation and participate in weekly project management calls.
