Qualifications

  • Low-voltage or access control certifications are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Avigilon camera systems and video management platforms.
  • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cables (CAT5e/CAT6, fiber, coax).
  • Configure IP-based devices and basic network infrastructure.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, and network issues and resolve them.
  • Provide onsite technical support and customer training as needed.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system documentation for proper installation.
  • Travel to various sites and follow safety procedures.

APSS- Field Service TechnicianClassification: Non-ExemptPosition Type: Full TimeReports to: Service ManagerDate: 08/2026JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary/ObjectiveThe Field Service Technician will install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain integrated security and low voltage systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with video surveillance, access control, weapon detections systems, and distributed antenna systems (DAS).
