Job summary

NRI North America is seeking a Computer Support Technician to join our professional services team, providing onsite IT support across school districts in Suffolk County, NY. This full-time role involves travel between sites and requires a presence on site five days a week.

You will respond to help desk tickets, diagnose and fix hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS, assist with network components, and help keep records and knowledge base up to date while collaborating with the IT team.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
1–3 years IT support experience.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware & software (Windows/macOS).
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS networking concepts.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Respond to help desk tickets and assist users with hardware and software issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems related to computers, printers, network connectivity, and IT equipment.
Set up and configure computers, peripherals, and software for new and existing users.
Maintain records of support requests and inventory; update knowledge base.
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and access points.
Provide training and support on new software and technologies.
Collaborate with IT team on projects, upgrades, and system improvements.
