Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking a dedicated Sample Assistant for a leading national retail client in New York. The role focuses on receiving, organizing, tracking, digitizing, and storing physical product samples, with hands-on tasks and administrative duties in a fast-paced corporate setting.

The position is fully onsite Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, offering $18 per hour and a 3-month temporary opportunity. Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating with

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work or retail experience.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track expected samples and communicate sample needs and due dates to vendors.
• Send weekly updates regarding late or outstanding samples.
• Unpack and organize physical samples by department or team member.
• Receive samples in the internal sample tracking system and update records.
• Print and attach barcodes to samples to track their location.
• Photograph and digitize physical samples according to established guidelines.
• Organize samples in designated storage areas and maintain accurate location records.
• Pull samples for Merchant and team reviews and assist with conference room setup.
• Record sample feedback, buyer notes, and approval decisions in the sample tracking system.
• Communicate sample feedback to vendors via email.
• Check samples in and out of storage as requested.
• Regularly organize and dispose of approved samples in accordance with company procedures.
