Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Senior ROI Technician Acute to handle high-volume releases of health information for patients and external reviewers. Onsite at Banner Desert Medical Center, you will coordinate HIPAA-compliant processes, liaise with ROI vendors, and support imaging and cross-department needs.

You will work Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, engaging with patients, vendors, and staff to ensure accurate document delivery and strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of health information practices and principles with 1+ year post-high school education in medical records or information systems and 1 year release of information experience.
• 3+ years of related work in medical records with release of information experience; knowledge of health information management and medical terminology.
• Strong organizational, confidentiality, independent judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to coordinate with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process high-volume requests for confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA and applicable laws.
• Monitor daily workflow, identify improvement opportunities, and provide backup coverage to maintain department operations.
• Compile department statistics, generate reports, and support projects to achieve department goals.
