Job summary

VRC Companies, LLC seeks an ROI Specialist I in the VitalChart department to process medical records requests with accuracy and privacy. You will verify patient authorizations, maintain HIPAA compliance, and coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure timely delivery to authorized requestors.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office. On-site work in Las Vegas and potential backlog support are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required; degree preferred.
• Prior ROI fulfillment experience preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated documentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated productivity and quality performance.
• Basic knowledge of HIPAA preferred.
• Prior experience with EHR/EMR platforms preferred.
• Prior experience with Windows environment and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong interpersonal skills with team members, clients, and requestors.
• Must have strong computer skills and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with printers, fax, scanners, and related equipment preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and focused.
• Must read/write/speak English; bilingual desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process ROI requests for medical records accurately and timely.
• Access and verify patient information per client procedures.
• Log and track requests in ROI software and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Perform quality checks to protect PHI and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and send records to authorized entities; reject non-compliant requests.
• Maintain records securely and manage office supplies as needed.
• Alert supervisor to issues, outages, or breaches.
• Assist with backlogs and accept new facilities or request types as needed.
