Job summary

RTX, in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Effector RF Design Engineer to design transmitters, receivers, and exciters, and to craft CCAs with RF or mixed signals. You will work in a lab performing characterization, verification, and integration of RF modules.

The role requires a STEM bachelor’s and 2+ years’ RF experience, with proficiency in RF tools like HFSS, Mentor DX, SystemVue/Genesys or ADS. On-site with relocation opportunities and clearances a key aspect.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RF design and fabrication and RF testing/troubleshooting.
• Experience with RF product simulation and one of the listed tools (Mentor DX, HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, ADS).

Responsibilities

• Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
• Work in a lab to characterize components and verify modules.
• Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
