Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an onsite RF Design Engineer to design transmitters, receivers, and exciters for radar and datalink applications. You will develop CCAs with RF/mixed signals, work in a lab for component characterization, and verify modules while interfacing with cross-disciplinary teams.

Requirements include a STEM Bachelor's and at least 2 years of RF experience, plus ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Relocation may be offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience to include RF design, testing, and simulation.
Experience with RF design, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with RF design tools: Mentor DX Designer, HFSS, SystemVue/Genesys, ADS.

Responsibilities

Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
Design of CCAs with RF or mixed signals.
Lab work for component characterization and module verification.
Test and handle sensitive RF hardware.
Schematic capture and RF routing.
Collaborate with power, digital, mechanical teams.
