Job summary

Artheon seeks a highly motivated Resident Engineer to join our team in Berlin, NJ. The on-site authority will oversee highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects, manage field inspection teams, enforce contract plans, and oversee safety and traffic control.

The role also covers contract administration, DBE/government liaison, and ensuring compliance with design standards and project docs. Location is Camden, NJ area with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Requires NICET Level IV certification or 10+ years in heavy highway construction management.
• Familiarity with NJDOT or NJTA design standards, Construction Management systems (Site Manager, CapEx), and internal Contract Compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Field Management: enforce contract plans and supervise inspection staff, ensure safety and traffic control.
• Contract & Document Administration: manage change orders, track costs, maintain daily logs and submittals, coordinate with agencies and contractors.
