Job summary

Artheon is seeking a Resident Engineer for on-site leadership of highway and bridge projects in Berlin, NJ. You will act as the on-site authority, enforce contract plans, supervise field inspection teams, and coordinate with agencies and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires NICET IV or 10+ years in heavy highway construction management, familiarity with NJDOT/NJTA standards, and CM systems.

Qualifications

• Requires NICET Level IV certification or 10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction management.
• Familiar with NJDOT or NJTA design standards and Construction Management systems.

Responsibilities

• Contract enforcement: ensure contractor complies with plans, specs, and documents.
• Inspection supervision: lead on-site inspection staff and daily duties.
• Safety and traffic: monitor work zone safety and MPT compliance.
• Stakeholder coordination: liaise between agency, design teams, contractors, utilities and the public.
• Project documentation and cost tracking: maintain logs, verify quantities, payrolls, and change orders.
