Job summary

Artheon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Berlin, NJ. The Resident Engineer serves as the on-site authority for highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects, overseeing field inspection teams and enforcing contract plans and specifications.

Reporting to the project manager, you will coordinate safety, traffic control, project documentation, and stakeholder communications while ensuring compliance with NJDOT standards and project budgets.

Qualifications

• NICET Level IV certification or 10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction management.
• Experience managing on-site field teams and enforcing project plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site field inspection staff and daily duties.
• Ensure contract plans, specs, and DBE requirements are met.
• Monitor safety, traffic control and work zone compliance.
• Coordinate with agencies, design teams, contractors, and utility companies.
