Job summary

Artheon seeks a Resident Engineer to lead on-site highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects in Berlin, NJ. You will act as the chief on-site authority, enforcing plans and specifications, directing field inspection teams, and overseeing safety, traffic control, and daily contract administration.

This full-time role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with agencies, designers, contractors, and the public on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Requires NICET Level IV certification or 10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction management.
• Familiarity with NJDOT or NJTA design standards, Construction Management systems (Site Manager/Cap Ex) and internal Contract Compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enforce contract plans and supervise on-site inspection staff.
• Manage field inspections, safety/MPT compliance, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with agency, design teams, contractors, utilities and the public.
• Track change orders, claims, and monthly payment estimates.
