Job summary

CRH plc's Oldcastle division seeks a Regional EHS & Safety Coordinator to lead safety programs and environmental compliance at Aberdeen, NC and West Columbia, SC. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to drive a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across two manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in safety/environmental field or related area.
• 3+ years of experience in Safety, EHS, industrial compliance, manufacturing operations, or related disciplines.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety programs.
• Strong communication, coaching, training, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
• Preferred OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience in managing environmental compliance programs and permits.
• Ability to work in active manufacturing and warehouse environments.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate safety initiatives for Aberdeen and West Columbia facilities.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace observations.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA and environmental compliance across sites.
• Ensure inspections and safety meetings are completed on schedule.
• Lead monthly Safety Committee meetings and new hire safety orientations.
• Perform lockout/tagout audits and review procedures.
• Lead investigations into injuries, incidents, near misses, and environmental events.
• Develop root-cause analyses and corrective action plans.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate findings to leadership.
• Maintain records and trends on safety performance and risk reduction.
• Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
